What to record in an invoice tracker
Record the invoice number, customer, issue date, due date, invoice total and payments received. Those fields are enough to calculate the open balance, identify overdue invoices and produce an accounts receivable aging view.
Update the paid amount when a partial or full payment clears. Keep the invoice number unchanged so the register can be reconciled with the document, bank transaction and accounting records.
Export and back up your invoice list
Use the CSV export to keep a dated backup or continue the analysis in Excel, Google Sheets or accounting software. Browser storage can be cleared by privacy settings, device cleanup or a browser reset, so it should not be your only permanent business record.
Private does not mean permanent
The tracker deliberately has no server account. Export the CSV regularly and retain your invoices and accounting records in an appropriate backup system.

Where is my invoice tracker data stored?
It is stored in localStorage in this browser on this device. The tool does not send the invoice list to our server.
How does the tracker decide an invoice is overdue?
An invoice with an unpaid balance is overdue when its due date is earlier than today. Fully paid invoices remain marked paid.
Can I export the invoice tracker to Excel?
Yes. Download the CSV file and open or import it in Excel, Google Sheets or another spreadsheet application.
Does the tracker replace accounting software?
No. It is a lightweight operational register, not a general ledger, tax system or permanent accounting archive.
