Electrical Quote Template

Quote electrical labor, specified equipment, permits, testing and exclusions in a scope the customer can approve.

An electrical quote should tell the customer what will be installed, what capacity or testing is included and which approvals affect the schedule. This template separates labor, equipment and permit allowances instead of burying them in one figure.

Use manufacturer, rating and quantity where they matter. For service or panel work, record the observed conditions and any utility coordination assumption behind the proposed scope.

Describe equipment and performance

Identify important ratings, circuit counts, fixture quantities, controls and testing. State whether patching, painting, trenching, data cabling or customer-supplied fixtures are included.

Where the condition of existing wiring or equipment remains unknown, define an investigation allowance or change process instead of promising that every concealed defect is covered.

Make permits and coordination visible

Show permit and inspection responsibility and identify any utility, landlord or facility shutdown coordination needed. These items affect schedule even when they are not a large part of the price.

After acceptance, preserve the quote number in the project record and use a separate electrical invoice number for completed work.

Frequently asked questions

What should an electrical quote include?

Include the site, circuits or equipment, quantities and ratings, labor, material responsibility, permits, testing, exclusions, validity, schedule assumptions and acceptance method.

Should fixtures be itemized?

Itemize fixtures or equipment whose model, rating or quantity affects price. Small consumables can be grouped if the governing agreement allows it.

How do I quote concealed wiring problems?

State what was visible, identify excluded hidden conditions and define how investigation or corrective work will be priced and approved.

Can I turn this quote into an invoice?

Yes. Use the electrician invoice template after approval and completion, carrying over the accepted scope and separately documenting any changes.
